New Members kenzieoutside Posted November 5 New Members Posted November 5 Trying to figure out what this guy is that's embedded in a huge cunk of matrix i brought home just for him. For reference, its about the size of a thumb nail. When using Google lenses, sea snake vertebrae come up, which do look somewhat similar and would make sense as the area I found this in is all exposed coral bed. I have only found coral and invertebrates so far, and I have hunted this spot nightly for a few months now, so bone would be very surprising (and exciting). Found in Gainesville, FL in an ocala limestone region. Can't wait to hear your thoughts!
Advantage Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Hi and welcome to the forum! Hmm I really don't think this a vertebrae... Thanks Steve
