josta4881 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) Try to organize all my shark teeth and I have a couple Galeocerdo teeth that i need a little help with . All teeth were found in North Myrtle Beach, Cherry Grove South Carolina. Still new to id’s and reading everything I can but still learning. The last pictures, im pretty positive are Galeocerdo Cuvier but the others, I’m lost. Thank you! Edited November 7 by josta4881 Add another picture 2

What are some of the characteristics that help you make that decision? Sorry to ask , I am just really tried to learn all that I can so I can id correctly and properly
shark57 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Size, shape and thickness of the tooth, angle of the notch (less than 90 degrees), and strength of the serrations (with complex serrations, i.e., serrations on the serrations). The smaller ones with damage could possibly be one of the older species, but I doubt it. 1

I’m organizing all my teeth and really am trying my hardest to get them identified correctly and I’m trying to read and learn everything I can .
