New Members tomdonohue1 Posted November 18, 2024 New Members Posted November 18, 2024 (edited) Need help identifying this fern fossil. I found it at the bottom of a Pennsylvania cliff made up of the Allegheny Fm. and Glenshaw Fm., so it could have come from either of these. I may have narrowed it down to neuropteris, odontopteris, or macroneuropteris, but really have no idea. The rock type is a sandy/silty shale. Edited November 18, 2024 by tomdonohue1
Fossildude19 Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Looks like some sort of Neuropterid, to me. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
