New Members Shenefeld Posted November 21, 2024 New Members Posted November 21, 2024 Found this on Amelia Island, Fla, on Flagler Beach. It’s very heavy, smooth and matte, but with some shiny black and silver in it. It’s off-white in color, with black lines and shiny white on surface.
Balance Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 I always hope to be wrong in these cases but this sure looks like a piece of quartz rock. Yard stones. Millions of them in yard flower beds and business landscaping. Especially around the beach. Jp fingers crossed it’s a snake head. 😉 1
Fossildude19 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 It's not a snake head. Or any kind of fossil. It's quartz or quartzite. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
