Found in central Iowa .

Gravel pit .

Rock hard  , any ideas for identification?

I was prepared to call it a rock, but the shape is hard to dismiss without a clearer look at the texture. I think your camera may be focusing on the background.

Rounded protuberances are not necessarily solid evidence of biogenicity
