Dylan_bo1 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 We know that the pigment biliverdin is responsible for the blue-green colour of some Oviraptorid eggs such as those of Heyuania, the verdict of this discovery being communal rearing and social group living (Wiemann et al 2018). its very interesting you guys should check it out. but.... In a figure of the paper, and in many other figures I've seen, they show Deinonychus to have similar egg shape and colour to that of the oviraptorids. Has anyone seen any published material on dromeosaurid and specifically Deinonychus eggs? The implication of egg colour on social behaviour are really interesting and I'd love to read more on it. 1
doushantuo Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 I know what you 're referring to, but others might not Presumably "Wiemann 2018 " is the paper in Nature ?
