Hi everyone!

I'm helping a buddy of mine with some of his fossils (including ID) and was hoping to get a second opinion on this one. It's a claw from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco. I've seen this morphology labeled as "Pterosaur" before, and it would fit since the bone wall is paper thin as seen on the proximal end, but wanted to make sure that's the current interpretation. It measures about 5.5 cm slant length, 1.7 cm tall, and 7.2 mm thick.

So what do you all think? Any insight is appreciated as always!

really not easy to say where it belongs to..., but Pterosaur might fit. But, other theropods, too...

Problem is that we do not know much about the claws, they are rare and most isolated finds without a skeleton...

do you know this thread?

Yup, and I got another weird one that doesn't really fit on there either to post later.

we have several with the same problem, should be pterosaur, but where does it belongs to....?

I show a bigger one, Ptero or Raptor, just in discussion

I remember that one! You've posted it on the forum before. I came to mind the moment I saw my buddy's.

Raptor would be insane, but if nothing new has been found on this morphology I'll have to tell him it's indeterminate.

Have any similar claws been found elsewhere?
