I found this bone fragment, it is from the early Holocene near Merida, Yucatan. I cannot identify what remains it is.

Maybe the end of a rib?

I agree, there's probably not enough here that's diagnostic for an ID. My money would go on transverse or spinous process from a vertebra though, if I were a gambler.
