Below is a scute which I believe to be from the armadillo Holmesina. I was wondering, however, if it could be assigned to a specific species. The scute is 3.8cm long, 2.8cm wide and 1.4cm thick.

Its a typical Pleistocene Floridian river find, though I have no idea of the exact locality.
