New Members Navaho99 Posted December 2, 2024 New Members Posted December 2, 2024 Hello everyone on the fossil forum, I found this rather oddly shaped rock a couple of years ago close to where I live in the u.k. It was found on a beach close to where a former resident many years ago used dynamite to blow up a substantial amount of limestone to form a grotto/cavern. I’ve always thought it resembled a large tooth and where the limestone has worn down on the edges there appears to be something darker underneath. Here are some pictures
Ludwigia Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Yes I agree that it does resemble a tooth, but unfortunately it is not one. 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/

New Members Navaho99 Posted December 2, 2024 Author New Members Posted December 2, 2024 Thanks for the replies, the dark bits on the sharp edges do intrigue me though. Might have to take it to work tomorrow and try to chip some limestone away
Fossildude19 Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Suggestively shaped rock, for me.
