I'm still looking for opinions about this 12 cms (nearly 5 inches) vertebra. All I know is that it comes from Morocco, but I’m not sure if it’s from a mammal or a reptile. The inside is mineralized with what looks like calcite or quartz, kind of like large salt grains. The outside has more of a bone-like appearance. It seems like it was once covered in plaster, probably for protection.

It appears to have remnants of missing apophyses.

Thank you.

interesting one, do you know if it is KemKem or Atlas Mountain?

Looks like a caudal vertebrae, Dinosaur, not mammal

My supplier said it’s a Spinosaurus from Kem Kem, but I’m always a bit skeptical about that stuff.

Spinosaur might fit. Always not easy when a vertebrae is not complete. So, most of them look "similar".

But, if the supplier says Kem Kem Spinosaurus should be a fitting candidate
