traveltip1 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 (edited) I found this fern leaf fossil in an "ironstone" nodule that I split open. It's from abandoned coal strip mine spoils in Vigo County, Indiana. I think it's from the Pennsylvanian Shelburn Formation. Edited December 4, 2024 by traveltip1 18
FossilGuy55 Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Nice find. I haven’t been over in that area in years.
Yoda Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 @traveltip1 Very nice. Was that the only nodule that you found ?? MotM August 2023 - Eclectic Collector
