just was wondering if I could get some potential IDs on this set of teeth. Found all of them on Folly Beach, South Carolina. Provided a front and back image, and a penny for size.

thanks!

I don’t know all of them but here is my guesses for a few.

1 - Physogaleus contortus

2 - probably belonging to the genus Galeocerdo (some sort of tiger shark)

3 -  Belongs to a species in the genus Carcharinus

4 - I think it could possibly belong to the genera Negaprion, Rhizoprionodon, or Carcharhinus.

5 - Is a lower tooth from Carcharodon carcharias (modern Great White)

6 -  Probably belongs to the genus Carcharhinus

7 - Could belong to the genus Sphyrna (hammerhead sharks) but I think that it is more likely another tooth from the genus Carcharhinus

8 - Probably belongs to the genus Carcharhinus

9 - Belongs to a shark in the genus Negaprion (lemon sharks)

10 - I am not sure

I hope this helps some. I am still relatively new to fossil collecting but these are some of my best guesses based off of what I have collected from Folly Beach. I also try not to be too specific just in case I am incorrect.

I agree with Noah and would say Carcharhinus for #7 (the first #7) and #10 (second one marked as #8).
