Hello All

I'm not sure where this will fit in the forum.

I have also found this in my gravel drive way and would like opinions about it?

What can it be? Its has a skin like characteristic bumpy with something remaining attacted an outter covering, Under side is like a quarts like rock we all see around gravel here in the south.

The pics aren't the best, but it kinda' looks like a chip of micro-crystalline quartz, whith a weathered "rind".

It might be oolitic?

It is an interesting mineral specimen. I thought it looked a little like a microcrystalline silicate (chert, maybe) with a botryoidal habit.

It's still my opinion that it is a rock. One particular location in Dallas in upper the Arcadia Park formation produces identical specimens by the hundreds.

My best guess is some sort of silicaceous mineral deposit.
