Suspected Baby Mastodon Tooth No Wear.

Left lower third molar of a pig or a peccary. Looks more piggish to me. The two peccaries, Mylohyus and Platygonus, have the cusps more alligned crosswise, forming lophs. This is a more bunodont (bumpy-toothed) critter.

Nice find, though!

The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".

I have one very similar and it is a pig but someone did think it was an unerupted milk tooth so maybe they look similar?
