t-tree Posted April 24, 2013 Share Posted April 24, 2013 I few finds from a Derbyshire opencast UK all collected since the Easter holidays,many hours of looking and only a few finds at a time.Mariopteris,Alethopteris,seed fern pinnules,eggcase and bellinurus the last one is a tiny. I enjoy seeing these nodules - I have nothing comparable to this form of fossil collecting available to me. What is your preferred method of opening the nodules? Whack/pray, or freeze/thaw?
