Shellseeker
Always a great day when I can get to the river and find something to put on TFF. The larger of the 2 teeth is Bos/Bison and since it is fossilized, must be Bison -- How can I determine which specific tooth this one is? I have previously found Bison molars which are at least twice this size. Is this one from a juvenile. My fossil buddy guessed that the 2nd smaller tooth is also Bison - is it?, and if so what about the size difference -- a baby bison???? RichW9090
Shell, make it a bit easier for me and take a good occlusal view, straight on? The little tooth is probably a P2. Coco
The small tooth seems very worn out, I don't thus think that it is about baby's tooth. Shellseeker
Rich, An occusal view of the smaller tooth: minus roots, it seems complete. If complete, I am curious about the small size. Here is an m3 that is massive next to it. Thanks Fossil Foilist: I was digging within feet of a fossil buddy, who is just as much and maybe more adept at this hobby than me, and I found some very nice stuff. There is still a lot of luck involved. The White Queen ".... in her youth she could believe "six impossible things before breakfast"
