Worm Tunneled - Found On Tramore, Waterford Beach

May not even be a fossil It's about 2 inches long with red flecks in some areas. Full of little tunnels and holes. It has an odd feel almost like solidified putty but smooth and is light. Its does have a slight arch and twist to it. If you need more close up etc can supply.

If you can help great and I don't expect miracles .

Hi Spookwoman. Welcome to the forum. Your find looks to me like an oyster shell riddled with borings. Someone will be able to tell you more than I :) Keep hunting.

I agree; a shell bored probably by sponges, and rolled to it's current shape in the waves.
