Need Help With A Geological Societies Disclaimer

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on a disclaimer form for the geological society I belong to, updating their old one for a new one. I put the draft disclaimer to the societies committee but have hit a few snags.

There old disclaimer was very basic i.e. bring a hard hat, don’t fall off a cliff, bring your own plasters etc. So with the new one I’m working on I wanted to present it with a bit more weight and certainty to it.

The committee may vote it in but are very cautious to put their name to it suggesting it may need to go through a solicitor first just to check it out!

The society has Public Liability Insurance in order so they can attend quarry field trips.

If someone from the forum with knowledge of such disclaimers has the time would you be able to run a rule over it here please.

Regards,

Darren.

The only certainty with fossil hunting is the uncertainty.
