Hi everyone this is matt again

today I went to the hamburg fossil and gem show in hamburg N.Y.

and got me a nice ammonite fossil for 25.00.the show was a blast there sure was a of things cool there

a lot of crystals, geodes, fossils, dimonds, nice desplays,

Ack, $25? I want to know how big it is too, because the regular ones that are 1.5-2" or so are going for less than $10 most places (incl. the annual show/sale in Victoria which I went to last weekend).... Maybe a bigger one would be $25, but I still wouldn't buy it if its aperture were squared off like that one, as most are (but not all). I bought one of the Jurassic ones from Madagascar (Perisphinctes) with its aperture squared off, but only because it was $3.

Awesome ammonite. Hey guys Mathew went to all that trouble to include the dead fly for scale. It's clearly a 53mm ammonite :)
