Yup, defintely a small mammal jaw, but not a jay.

Ha, I just noticed I misspelled jaw! Thanks for the correction. Oh, by the way, you "definitely" misspelled a word too, JPC.

Do I have to understand that the moderators correct the faults on the forum ? If it is the case, it explains why automatical translations are very pleasant and I thank you ! (if you knew to what french people make spelling mistakes in their own language...).

Unless there is an obvious distinguishing characteristic small pieces of bone are almost impossible to identify. The small jaw of course looks like a jaw but from which animal would very difficult to determine.
