The Winner of the April 2014 Vertebrate Find Of The Month is the Microhaplolepis serrata Paleoniscoid fish from the Middle Pennsylvanian Cannel coal of OH, USA! The Cannel coal strikes again! Congratulations to John (fossilcrazy) on his find and 2nd win of the VFOTM!

Thanks for the coveted award, the many accolades and shared enjoyment of the little fish. It's ironic how for years my biggest fossil passion has been Invertebrates and Plants; what do I get- Vertebrate awards. It would probably help if I would actually submit a plant or invertebrate for consideration. Maybe it's time to return to my roots. Thanks to you all. -John
