Good morning,

Whilst walking my dog on Tweseldown in North Hampshire in the UK yesterday I found this rock with odd markings on one side. Is it a fossil?

Tweseldown is situated between Farnborough, Fleet and Aldershot if that helps.

Thanks

Not being familiar with items at your site, I will say it's a fossil, but not sure what type. It is a fragment, has characteristics of shell (mollusk/bivalve, etc). Several members on the Forum are experts in that locale and will identify it easily. Welcome to the Forum!
