Hello

Went to a new place this weekend and found some beach cliffs south of sydney .. There wasn't a rock that didn't have fossils in it ! I spent a few hours and already had 30kgs of rocks in my backpack so I went home :D also managed to smack myself really hard in the kneecap with my rock hammer... Hooray for sever bruising and swelling! :( lol

But it was worth it! Look what I found :)

I love them, now i must buy a scribe tool and a micro sand blaster so i can prep them properly :D A dremel is just the wrong tool and way too clumsy i've found.

Nice.. I like those light-colored brachs on darker matrix, esp. that last one in post 1 with the groove down the middle! I guess the first think i post 2 is a snail?

Any idea what age this stuff is? Perm.? Triassic?

Apparently it's Triassic :) yep it's a snail of some kind :) and that light colored on I think is sun bleached as it was already exposed on the rock,

I took some rock home with me to break up at my leisure and I found a really beautiful one! I'll see if I can post a pic from my phone shortly :)
