Hi,

I was wondering if it be possible to uncover more of this shell fossil. The rock it is fossilized in seem's pretty hard. Is this possible ? Should I try or leave it like it is ?

That one looks like it is pretty much 'one with the rock'.

Were it mine, I'd keep it as-is, 'cause it's kinda' cool!

I agree with Auspex. Leave it as is.

Thank you for your suggestions, I'll probably leave it as is. Auspex, what do you mean by 'one with the rock' ? :)

It appears to be pretty well bonded with the matrix, and the matrix looks to be harder than the fossil; a recipe for disaster if I ever saw one ;)

Plus, I genuinely like what Ma Nature did with it!

He means it has found it's own inner peace, becoming one with nature....

Actually, he's implying its completely solid; totally in-there and not worth trying to dig out especially how cool it already is! Great find.
