Obiezyswiat Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Hi, I was wondering if it be possible to uncover more of this shell fossil. The rock it is fossilized in seem's pretty hard. Is this possible ? Should I try or leave it like it is ? Thanks, Lukasz
Auspex Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 That one looks like it is pretty much 'one with the rock'. Were it mine, I'd keep it as-is, 'cause it's kinda' cool! Obiezyswiat Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 Thank you for your suggestions, I'll probably leave it as is. Auspex, what do you mean by 'one with the rock' ?
Auspex Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 It appears to be pretty well bonded with the matrix, and the matrix looks to be harder than the fossil; a recipe for disaster if I ever saw one Plus, I genuinely like what Ma Nature did with it! Mattalic Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Thank you for your suggestions, I'll probably leave it as is. Auspex, what do you mean by 'one with the rock' ? He means it has found it's own inner peace, becoming one with nature.... Actually, he's implying its completely solid; totally in-there and not worth trying to dig out especially how cool it already is! Great find.
