Auspex Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 I'll bet that these guys can hook you up: LINK "There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about." - Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant “Try to learn something about everything and everything about something.” - Thomas Henry Huxley >Paleontology is an evolving science. >May your wonders never cease!
Raggedy Man Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 So do you want the whole ring made out of poop or do you want a piece faceted and placed in a setting? ...I'm back.
Raggedy Man Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 You can also inlay as well. My wife and I both have gibeon meteorite inlay on our wedding rings ...I'm back.
tmaier Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 While I think it is possible to cut it, remember the old adage "You can't polish a turd.".
squali Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Ha I like your sense of humor. blind chef. It's hard to remember why you drained the swamp when your surrounded by alligators.
Ptychodus04 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I agree. The coprolite would most likely be too soft to take a good polish. You can douse it in cyanoacrylate a couple times. This will harden it enough to get a nice shiny poop. 1 Regards, Kris Global Paleo Services, LLC https://globalpaleoservices.com http://instagram.com/globalpaleoservices http://instagram.com/kris.howe
caldigger Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I see coprolite made into cabochons quite often...if it is truly fossilized. 1
