Cretaceous Finds From North Texas....bone & Tooth

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

hello folks, can you help me with these? The bone was found in Eagle Ford, Late Cretaceous of Denton County, TX. It is smooth on one side and part smooth on the other. Turtle? I have found Mosasaur bones here before fyi.

The tooth I found 3 miles west of downtown Dallas in Arcadia Park of Eagle Ford, Late Cretaceous of Dallas County, TX. Is this a hadrodus fish tooth?

Thanks for any info!

Tooth looks like a broken Cretodus root.

Thanks, it's not a partial root for sure. I know it's hard to tell by the pics.

I think you have a big hunk o' turtle shell and I agree with the fragment of shark tooth root.
