Now, I could be wrong, but this looks like a plant to me. Horse tail? Most likely sand wrong. Found by a huge cliff in fruit land Missouri. Let me know if I'm completely wrong. Any input is appreciated :)

I could see plant here; what size is it? Do you know the geologic age of that area?

Ordovician and/or Silurian if I'm reading the map in my book right. I'll post a picture for size. I've found trilobite s and crinoid stems at the same location. Thank you for your help.

If that is its geologic age (and it's not washed downstream from younger sediments), then doubt is cast on it being plant material.
