Could it possibly be an otolith?

Found in Sacha's Rattlesnake Creek matrix.

I am trying to figure out what this could be. It seems familiar somehow, as tho I have seen something like it before... Does anyone else recognize it? Scale is mm. Views from all sides shown. Thanks for looking.

Before I give up on this completely, here is another picture showing the 'bottom' or larger end. Disregard the scale, as the specimen is standing upright. Does this help at all?

I didn't think it looked like one, Auspex, too thick and just not quite right. But I was hoping that the otolith expert here would glance at it anyway. ;) and she did!

Thanks for for looking at this, Coco. Now I will relegate this to the 'mystery' jar. :)

I have added another view of this fossil. Let me know if this helps to ID it. Thanks

Hi,

Julianna, I answered fast, without saying why I don't think that your fossil is an otolith.

Your fossil seems hollow, it is too thick (proportionally in the size), the surface isn't rather smooth and the global shape reminds me no otolith.
