New Members CLopez Posted May 11, 2015 New Members Posted May 11, 2015 Hello! So, I'm completely new to the whole fossil hunting thing but I'm very interested. I live in the FL Panhandle and would LOVE to tag along with a group going to a hunt some place close to me. Or at least give me some pointers as to a good place to start. I tend to have my kids with me quite a bit so some place that a 5 and 7 year old would be able to go to easily. They are interested as well. They have done some "hunting and mining" in a very controlled activity.
fossilized6s Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Welcome! There are members from your area that hopefully can point you in the right direction. Until then, I would suggest combing the beaches, or even the rivers (but that's usually not the safest environment for children, especially when gators are around). Good luck. ~Charlie~ "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why.....i dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ~RFK ->Get your Mosasaur print ->How to spot a fake Trilobite ->How to identify a CONCRETION from a DINOSAUR EGG
