jaycolejordygolf Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 I just found this today while walking my daughter and my dog by the river in our backyard it seems organic of some source to me but have no clue of what it can. Be anyone can make anything out of this what it can may be excuse the pics
Plantguy Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 (edited) That triangular shape is interesting...I'm not recognizing the shape as an organic one though...guessing the layering is some mineral infill/or possible replacement in a crack/void in the specimen. May need clearer pictures--some photosI cant view at all for some reason... I'm also wondering how hard it is...Can you scratch with a knife? Some of the local Pa folks might recognize it instantly...Regards, Chris Edited May 19, 2015 by Plantguy
fossilized6s Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Looks like an agate or banded chert. Not a fossil. Better pics would be nice. ~Charlie~ "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why.....i dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ~RFK ->Get your Mosasaur print ->How to spot a fake Trilobite ->How to identify a CONCRETION from a DINOSAUR EGG
