I think this is probably vuggy limestone. I collect samples of things like this anyway, and decided to include it as part of the tutorial.

I think this is a piece of slag. It looks like nice round bubbles. If it is limestone it should fizz with a little vinegar.

Apparently I was wrong. It has no reaction to vinegar. It will be interesting to see what the locals say about slag in Ramanessin. Could it actually be bone. T Rex would be nice.

Not bone, Rocky. Sorry. I have found this stuff at the brooks before and I don't know what it is, exactly, but I do sense that it is man-made.

There's a thought. Possibly volcanic, or related to an igneous intrusion. I see a lot of that here in Maine.
