Shellseeker
Many worthy entries, This last one from Adam seems to be (to a novice) unique and an excellent preparation.. I try to keep most/all of my finds NPR (no prep required) based on my talents or lack thereof -- I suppose I would learn .. Hopper15
I found this tooth last week and it is a new type for my dads and my collection. I looked back and found a thread where LanceH had posted one like this back in 2008 but it was missing part of the root. The opinions came back with Janassa sp. as the best fit I think. This is from the penn. deposits Brown county Texas. Apparently pretty rare as compared to other carboniferious teeth, at least in this part of the world. Pterosaur
Hello everyone! I found this fossil on July 23, 2015, and prepped it throughout the month of August. My entry is an ischium that belonged to a hadrosaur, specifically Edmontosaurus Annectens. I found it in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana. It was my first prep and find! This is a photo of the ischium as I dug it out of the ground. And here it is after prepping (still trying to get some clay off so haven't completely glued both ends together yet) Proof that I was really there! Thanks guys! My Ghost Shrimp Burrow was reassembled in the same month it was found in. It had to be removed in sections..The loose piece does not appear to attach to the main burrow.I might be missing a small section that might have been lost or washed away in the stream. Found on August 1st 2015 Common name..Ghost Shrimp Burrow Scientific name.. Protocallinassa Mortoni Plisbry Geologic age.. Mesozoic Late Cretaceous, Marine Maastrichian Navasink Formation. Location..Big Brook Marlboro Township, New Jersey. USA Edited September 1, 2015 by njfossilhunter TonyThe Brooks Are Like A Box Of Chocolates,,,, You Never Know What You'll Find.
