Rock Or Nah

I'm on a road trip to central Florida where I'll be starting my college life but first we had to stop into south carolina for my brothers school, so when in Rome did some beach searching to try and find some teeth and this is what I came up with.

I've been reading posts on this site for s few weeks now and I love reading and seeing the pictures of rocks that people post so please rub it in my face if this is merely a rock

Looks like a bone fragment with a manganese concretion on it.

Here is a shark tooth with the same type of concretion on it for comparison.

It's an interesting piece. Try setting it, again, on a solid surface to photograph it. Two sources of movement (hands) rarely result in a clear image.

It looks like something we find in the Cretaceous of NJ: a steinkern of clionid sponge galleries attached to a bivalve steinkern, likely the one that the clionid occupied.
