First,would I be correct in describing these fossils as terminal pinnules of Neuropteris-like pinnae

and if these are terminal pinnules can they be more precisely identified.Is the first fossil a terminal pinnule of Macroneuropteris scheuchzeri?The second fossil is uniquely different in form but I don’t have a clue as to its identity.

I just want to confirm that these are best described as Calamites.

The vertical ribs are obscure except near the nodes were uniform rib patterns become more obvious.Are these external compression impressions vs the internal molds or pith casts that are often identified as Calamites?
