HamptonsDoc Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Wondering if anyone is planning on going to the Denver Gem and Mineral show? I'm new to fossils, just started collecting Hadrosaur eggs and want to expand my collection to include Oviraptor, Segnosaurus and Saltosaurus. I have a wedding in New York on the first day of the show so I won't be able to make it to Denver until mid-day on Saturday. Is it worth the trip? I will be going to the Tucson show in Jan/Feb as I hear that's the best there is around. Do you guys think I'll be able to find some nice egg specimens and nests at either show or are they too difficult to find now that the supply chain has been cut off?
Raggedy Man Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Both of those shows are amazing, but the Quartzite gathering is unmatched by far. ...I'm back.
Troodon Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 The Denver show is nice but it pales in size to the Tucson show. From a dinosaur end, most dealers attending the Denver show will be at Tucson plus lots more. You will be hard pressed to find eggs from the better dealers at the shows but an occasional one might pop up plus a bunch of fakes. Unlike a few years ago where there were lots of Chinese dealers with REAL eggs, none are to be found today..
