navaskye Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 This rock comes from Colorado. In my ignorance, when collected, I dreamed it might be a giggle of little dinosaur eggs. Now that I'm peering over the shoulders of the real collectors (and learning bits here and there), thinking it might be a concretion. Anybody? Thanks for the info.
ynot Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 I agree with Your assessment. It looks like another concretion. Tony
GeschWhat Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Welcome to the forum! It could also be a little pile-o-poo (aka coprolites)...which would be way better than eggs! Do you remember if the surrounding rocks looked the same? Where in CO did you find it? Lori www.areallycrappystory.com/fossils www.facebook.com/fossilpoo
abyssunder Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Looks to be botryoidal concretion. https://www.google.com/search?q=botryoidal+concretion&sa=X&biw=1360&bih=612&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&ved=0CB0QsARqFQoTCPSjzeKp7McCFURVFAodvaQCUg# " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way.
