Rport Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 We found these bones at a outdoor flea market and wondered if anyone could indentify a possible species of dinosaur? Our search and knowledge base has been exhausted. Thanks for any info.
Rport Posted September 15, 2015 Author Posted September 15, 2015 Sorry we were thinking maybe a tail cheveron from a sauropod.
Raggedy Man Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Doesn't really look like bone to me, but what do I know? I'm a trilobite guy. Someone should be a long soon who's a bone guy/gal that can help more than I. Best regards ...I'm back.
Auspex Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 That sure is a slender shaft for such a massive end...a chevron comes to mind, or a rib head, maybe. Do you have specific reason to think it is dinosaurian, rather than some other large vertebrate? Troodon Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 (edited) Do you have any information on where it was found? Could be the end of an ischium do not see chervon? Edited September 15, 2015 by Troodon
Rport Posted September 15, 2015 Author Posted September 15, 2015 Wish I knew where it was found. bought it in Colorado and I'm guessing Morison formation, but just a guess. No it could be some other large vertebrate Thanks for the help!
Rport Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 Thanks all. I'll try to follow up on rib ends.
