Great parts of the past. :)

The first two are Cordaites leaves, the last one a cone of some sort.

I've started studying the different cones. But, honestly, it has my head spinning.

Sherry's location has the possibility of cones/parts of three very different plant families--Noeggerathiales, Lepidodendrales, and Cycadophytes :).

Many of them all look similar in the literature :)

Here is a photo with the size Paul. So Paul, are the fossils starting to overwhelm you? I really need to figure out a way to photograph and organize these things. My husband finally came to the site this weekend to help me carry up some fossils, and he was pretty impressed! I think he gained a new respect for the fossils at home that were making him a little crazy :-)

Again more nice material. I recognize the Cordaites but am of no help with the great cone. Looks like a fascinating place to collect. Congrats. Regards, Chris
