Is this limonite filling cracks or something else?

Would you say it is magma filling in the cracks of the rock then? How does one differentiate between biologic versus geologic? Thanks for your help in advance!

Do not see igneus rock, no magma filled cracks. Looks more like iron oxide filled crack.

The texture, shape, patterns (internal and external) and symmetry, or their absence, all play a role in the identification of a fossil or other rock. Sometimes it is very hard to determine whether a rock is biologic or not, and sometimes it is very easy.
