New Members HDSC Posted October 19, 2015 New Members Share Posted October 19, 2015 I found this on the sandbar behind my house. It's a flood zone and its mostly glacial till so I really have no idea where this may have originated. I've found many interesting things there over the years. Runner64
Sorry but I don't believe you have a tooth.
Troodon
Welcome to the forum. Agreed not a tooth just a suggestively shaped stone. Typically enamel would cover the crown.
bbrosen
Looks like the worn interior of a shell from a shell similar to this http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/04/02/13/2739B2DA00000578-3023051-This_image_shows_three_of_the_fossilised_shells_studiedat_by_the-a-10_1427977332463.jpg
finderskeepers
the top and the line that goes across looks like quartz. I think its a worn cobble with prominent quartz veins.
Rockwood
the top and the line that goes across looks like quartz. I think its a worn cobble with prominent quartz veins. As someone who is confined to searching till for most of my short hunting trips I propose the term Till Teeth for this process. It's very common.
