Yep, or gastropods/forams in marinara sauce. Nice specimen. Last time I saw anything red like that it was a red chert..What you got there?

It looks like poppy jasper. Where is it from? California has many deposits including the world famous Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.

This jasper is from Oregon. And it is guite possibly an oregon variety of california poppy jasper

Morgan hill poppy jasper. Calif

That is a nice "mushroom". Like the agate it is in also.

Thought You might get a kick out of these "mushrooms" that I found in SE Arizona....
