Carson
I haven't. I saw the reference in Case & Cappetta, 1997. I don't know the author's first name or how to contact him. I have collected teeth that look like Rhombodus sp. (Case & Cappetta, 1997) in Arkansas. That publication mentions that the pub I'm looking for also discusses this tooth design. fossilselachian
Have you tried contacting the author? Unfortunately the author has passed. His first name was Jack. You will also see his name as one of the authors of the Lee Creek volume dealing with fossil sharks.
JohnJ
Unfortunately the author has passed. His first name was Jack. You will also see his name as one of the authors of the Lee Creek volume dealing with fossil sharks. Interestingly, I randomly met Jack's nephew, on Sunday, at a fossil site in Central Texas. He told me a few stories, from his youth, about fossil hunting with his Uncle Jack. He mentioned the Lee Creek paper, too. However, based on my conversation with him, it's unlikely that he would have a copy of this paper. fossilized6s
My question is, why was it never published? It seems like all of the work was done. ~Charlie~ "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why.....i dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ~RFK ->Get your Mosasaur print ->How to spot a fake Trilobite ->How to identify a CONCRETION from a DINOSAUR EGG
siteseer
Carson, I have a copy of an article with that title but it is only 6 pages long and dated 1984. Page 6 is the "References Cited" page so there was no page 7. Where did you see it as a reference? I received my copy years ago from someone who knew Jack McClellan. In any case send me a PM. I'm under the gun at work. It would be faster for me to photocopy it and put it in the mail. Jess Hello,I am looking for an unpublished paper.McLellan, J. 1988.
