I've been looking around the old interwebs today and found this for sale, does anyone know what it belongs to, or if it's real?

It kind of looks like a Saber cat tooth to me, but any help will be appreciated!

Not saber cat. Definitely a mammalian carnivore; I am leaning towards feline.

We need more pictures. It might even be modern, or a cast.

Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!

For me looks more like a Lion canine (but we don't know the dimensions). post-17588-0-42429900-1453638994_thumb.jpg

Depends on the price... if it is literally nothing they are asking for (like $10 or less) then it could be a good study piece... anymore then don't buy until we have more info and pictures on it.

Out of curiosity, what does the seller claim it to be?

There is good money in the trade in 'icons of carnage', and so widespread misrepresentation and embellishment.

Definitely not a saber tooth of any kind. That doesn't look fossilized. If the seller is dealing with endangered species... don't do it... you are only supporting the carnage humans are creating... the sixth mass extinction.

I understand what you are saying, I have now thus decided not to buy it.
