tesssmithsc
I found these fossils washed up on Folly Beach from the Folly River. I know the first is a vertebra. Is it a shark? Also, the second looks like some sort of tusk or horn. Any ideas? Thanks!
Darktooth
The first does look like shark very just, water worn. The second I'm not sure. I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
CBOB
The second may be an antler piece

Auspex
So, what Prehistoric animals had antlers in South Carolina? Any idea? White-tailed Deer is the most likely candidate (assuming it is antler). Boesse
The first one is a bony fish vertebra given the pattern of "struts" on the side.
