A Couple Penn Dixie Micros

Recommended Posts

Embarked on an indoor fossil hunting expedition under the microscope today. These are from Penn Dixie (Middle Devonian - Gavetian). I thought I'd share a few photos of some of the ostracods and an inarticulate brachiopod (both valves present and free of matrix!) I encountered. The scale in the photos is 0.5 mm divisions.
