ilzho
Hello: I found this in aurora. It looks like a small piece of a skull. I realize this is a long shot, but any info is helpful. Thank you, David
westcoast
Those zig zag lines look like stylolites; pressure solution features common in limestone. I don't know what the other feature may be, possibly a weathered colonial coral. I'm not seeing skull.
FossilDudeCO
I'm sorry, this may be a stupid question, but.... Aurora, TX? Aurora, NC? Aurora, CO? Aurora, IL? Each of these places would have different aged rocks exposed and a geologic age can be helpful. I would assume Texas, but you know hat they say about assuming! Al Dente
The texture reminds me of whale skull.
jpc
The zig zag lines look like sutures to me. I think whale skull frag is a good guess.

Boesse
Yeah this is definitely a small chunk of a mammal skull, not limestone with stylolites. As JP points out above that's a suture line. Unfortunately it's so incomplete that identification past "mammal skull" is not possible.
