There are a LOT of things you have to consider when setting up any kind of formal 'club' or 'society'. I was one of the founders of the Dallas Paleontological Society back in the 1980s and it took us a couple of years to get all of the legal things (tax-exempt status, liability waivers, etc.) taken care of! -Joe Illigitimati non carborundum Fruitbat's PDF Library
