Kane Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Looks like some kind of banded agate or some-such. You may wish to tell us its size by providing a scale, and take a few more pictures in full light. ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer

ynot Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 This looks like a piece of cave flowstone (calcite) to Me, but could be an agate as others have said. Can You do a hardness test? Does a nail scratch it?
ynot Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 My id of calcite is based on the granular appearance and lack of conchoidal fractures.
BRONSON Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 I bet that would polish up quite nicely, it would aid in its identification too.
