Did your friend provide you with a formation where it was found? Are you sure its NM since Ankylosaurid material from there is quite scarce. Ankylosaurus is known from the Hell Creek/Lance formations of Montana, Wyoming and the Dakotas. Preservation matches those deposits. I asked my friend again, and he confirmed that this was a Nodosauridae from NM, but because the label was lost, the FM and county could not be known.
